MORE FROSTING ON WALKING’S CAKE For many seniors—maybe the majority—walking is the only consistent exercise realized. Most of us know that regular walking—say half an hour a day, five days a week—helps prevent heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and type-2 diabetes. And we also are aware that through walking we realize the benefits of improving our energy level, mood, cognition, memory and sleep.
